Hello Guys,
Tiranga Dhokla is a vibrant and delicious Indian snack that showcases three layers, symbolizing the colors of the Indian flag—orange, white, and green. It’s made using a batter of semolina, with natural ingredients added for the tricolor effect. This snack is perfect for patriotic occasions like Independence Day or Republic Day!😊
🔵Here's a quick guide to make it:
☛FOR DHOKLA BATTER:-
* Take 1.5 bowl of semolina & add 1 bowl of Yogurt.
* 1 tsp Sugar.
* Salt as per your taste.
* ¼ tsp Ginger powder.
* 2 tbsp oil.
* Mix well.
* Our Dhokla Batter is ready.
* Let it rest for 15 minutes.
* After 15 minutes take the Dhokla batter, add little water & mix well to adjust the consistency & divide it into three portion.
🥕FOR CARROT JUICE:-
* Take 1 grated carrot (large size) in a grinding jar.
* Grind it & make a fine puree
* Strain it to extract its juice.
* Our Carrot Juice is ready (NOTE:- If you want you can use Carrot puree instead)
🥬FOR SPINACH JUICE:-
* Take 1 bunch of Spinach & grind it to make a fine puree.
* Strain it to extract its juice.
* Our Spinach Juice is ready (NOTE:- If you want you can use Spinach puree instead)
🔶FOR SAFFRON COLORED BATTER:-
* Add carrot juice in a first bowl & mix well.
* Add ¼ tsp Baking soda & mix well.
⚪FOR WHITE COLORED BATTER:-
* Add water in a second bowl & mix well.
* Add ¼ tsp Baking soda & mix well.
✅FOR GREEN COLORED BATTER:-
* Add Spinach juice in third bowl & mix well.
* Add ¼ tsp Baking soda & mix well.
☛FOR TEMPERING (TADKA):-
* Heat 2 tbsp oil in a small pan.
* Add 1 tsp mustard seeds.
* Turn off the flame & add ¼ tsp Asafoetida, 3-4 Green Chillies - slit in centre & 15-20 curry leaves.
* Give a stir & let them splutter.
⬗Method:-
* Grease the cake tin with some ghee or oil.
* Pour the prepared saffron colored batter into the tin.
* Heat some water in a pot & let it boil.
* Place a stand inside the pot & place the cake tin on a stand in a pot.
* Close the lid & steam cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
* Open the lid after 5 minutes & take out the tin.
* Pour the prepared white batter on top off the saffron colored batter.
* Spread evenly on all sides & tap it a little.
* Transfer it into the steamer.
* Close the lid & steam cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
* Open the lid after 5 minutes & take out the tin.
* Pour the green batter on top of white batter, spread evenly on all sides & tap it a little.
* Transfer it into the steamer.
* Close the lid & steam cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
* Open the lid after 10 minutes & insert a toothpick to check if it is cooked or not, if it comes out clean, it means it is cooked.
* Take out the tin & let it cool.
* Now run a knife very carefully along the sides of the tin
* Flip & give it a few taps to release the Dhokla.
* Pour the tempered Dhokla onto the "Tiranga Dhokla".
* Cut into squares.
